PPAI Survey – Employee Motivation

Imprinted PenPPAI (The Promotional Products Association International) recently polled attendees at a Human Resource Management Show in New Orleans, Louisiana and they came up with interesting news. Almost three out of four companies say that they use promotional products to motivate, recognize, and reward their employees.

Even during these tough economic times, organizations are still concerned with the ability to recruit and retain top talent in order to insure a healthy bottom line. They have found it beneficial to invest in their employees in order to motivate, boost sales, increase productivity, and improve customer service.

Of those human resource professionals polled, the question of recognition programs was asked. Over 74% of those who had reward and recognition programs in their company used promotional products in their programs. Over 70% stated that promotional products were “extremely effective” or “effective” in motivating, recognizing and rewarding their employees. So whether a company had a recognition program in place or not, the use of promotional products is of great importance.

Promotional Products are being used for Employee Service Awards, Anniversary Recognition Programs, Motivating Specific Behaviors, Reinforcing Organization Values, and Improving Teamwork. The most popular items fall into three categories 1. Wearables: t-shirts, jackets, and  shirts 2. Recognition Awards: plaques and pins 3. Writing Instruments: Pens

The PPAI has been involved in the promotional products industry for over 100 years. An organization dedicated to the promotional products industry.
